I dont mind caddies lining up putts, no different to them giving yardages IMO. Players still have to put a stroke on it.

Penalties for not letting faster players through. Difficult to police without course marshals though and I think that this game is expensive enough without clubs having to spend ££££ on extra staff.
Club cannot be anchored against any point on the body.
Spitting (unless you've just swallowed a midgie and need to gob it out)

In the pro game I'd like to see harsher penalties (adding penalty strokes, not just fines) for slow play.

My three would be any putter longer than 35 inches, people that don`t repair pitch marks, and lastly, lines on golf balls.

Anyone shouting "GET IN THE HOLE" should be used as land fill, and if players want their caddies to line them up, they should be made to hit the shot from the caddies shorts pocket.

I think I may have got out of bed on the wrong side this morning. Sorry.

I know what you're saying but what about the group being held up by slower groups in front - not their fault if they can't complete a round in a set time if they're not let through.....


Anchoring any club to any part of the body should go as should Buggies unless you have a Doctor's Note.
Finally, anyone who doesn't let me through when I'm playing solo should be confined to Room 101 instantly.

Belly putters, just looks wrong to me
Pros getting a referee to give them rulings, they should know the rules of the game
Crap/no sand in bunkers

Ban or change

Dress rules - some clubs need to move with the times and realise jackets and ties are ancient rulings and many golfers enjoy wearing jeans and trainers when relaxing.

Slow play - Hard to police but medals shouldn't take the time they do, If a club is seriously suffering it can be monitored by taking note of tee time, time after 6, 9 and 18 holes then the culprits are soon noticed.

Not a ban as such but I do think their should be a price cap, for me I dont care where in the UK you play but no round is worth £100-£150, just because John on £90k a year can afford to play Kingsbarns (* or insert top UK course) off a 22 hc but John on £18k a year can't afford it but is off a 4 hc does he deserve less of a chance to play?

The guy who sits in the lounge and shouts, "that child is wearing jeans" when you've taken the family in for Sunday lunch.

The same guy who shouts, "that child is wearing trainers..." when the child is out walking the course with you when you play.

There's one child who hates the golf club.

And finally the group that is playing slower and won't let the group behind thro'. I don't care about their pace of play providing they let people thro'.

Trolleys of any kind, if you can swing a club and prop up the bar afterwards, you can walk leisurely round a course carrying a light bag.

Long putters, ban them, ban them now.

Hybrids. Nothing like saying you cant hit a long iron, learn to play the game.
