The golfing gods are smiling on me. I am getting married in October and we were discussing a honeymoon. The missus-to-be has decided we will have a nice overseas honeymoon next year but in October this year she would like a mini-moon for about 4 days somewhere in the UK.

The gods are smiling on me because she said as long as where we go has a spa and she can have a round or two and walk the other rounds with me it can be a golfing break :D. So fellow forumers we need advice on somewhere in the UK for a 3 or 4 night golf break with a nice hotel and spa. The course must be playable for a high handicap lady but good enough to keep my interest too.

I throw it open to you lot........................................................

Double whammy you jammy so and so , taking the misses to France for her birthday, 5 days as no golf allowed.

I'd look at fox hills or Celtic manor as two possible options

Tie it in with a visit to the Dunhill at St Andrews and she gets to see all the stars - Mrs Hobbit loves the Dunhill, especially around the town on the night rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous.

I like the St Andrews idea. Hob nobbing with the stars. I guess it depends on how far you want to travel but the Forest of Arden has two courses and the spa. Birmingham is about 15-20 minutes away if she fancies a shopping blow out

Glen Eagles looks fantastic! 3 top notch courses and a nice spa and hotel.

My dad and a few of his mates went last year and one of his group was upgraded to a suite that had a private putting green area in the garden.

Its definitely on my to do list this year.

My other half booked a three day break at Gleneagles and a round on the PGA with a pro in May - I'm not thinking of ditching her just yet!
