With 4 likes it’s done and dusted ?Easy tiger, we are still pinning down hole 8 ?
Say that again in English because that makes no sense to me.#cluelessNext you'll be telling me Redan at NB is a great par 3.
Ah, so it is likes and not nominations ?. In that case, finally, hole 9, The Lighthouse hole, The Ailsa course, Turnberry ??. A par 3, fabulous for everything. It even has the bonus of a classy halfway house, a lighthouse in fact, after you have played it.With 4 likes it’s done and dusted ?

It's not my fault people went for a par 3 at the 8th ?. Anyway, both holes are good enough to carry it off.Two par 3’s in a row ?
It may not make a perfect 18. But I’m with LT.Two par 3’s in a row ?
I think the 9th is a spectacular hole but only from one set of tees.Ah, so it is likes and not nominations ?. In that case, finally, hole 9, The Lighthouse hole, The Ailsa course, Turnberry ??. If I was picking one of them. I’d have 9 over 8.
I played it off the yellows, big old head wind, and I thought it was great still. I also walked to the championship tee and that was bonkers and brilliant. Which tee are you referring to?I think the 9th is a spectacular hole but only from one set of tees.
When we played it the tee we played off made it a good hole but not a great hole.
?? you’ve sussed me.Right, so you parred the 8th at Royal Troon and double bogied the 9th at Turnberry, getting the picture now.
Just joking around ?
?? you’ve sussed me.
I parred them both ?
anyway I don’t mind back to back par 3s. The 9th at RCD is a cracker though.
Cameron hit from the championship tee. I wouldn’t have been able to reach.I played it off the yellows, big old head wind, and I thought it was great still. I also walked to the championship tee and that was bonkers and brilliant. Which tee are you referring to?
I don’t think anyone one claimed it was going to be the best course ever.no course has two par threes in a row - makes it a little bit silly , yes it maybe better than the Postage Stamp if you are going to make a course from the best holes in the Uk then you can’t have two par 3’s in a row.
Stand corrected on the consecutive par 3’s .I don’t think anyone one claimed it was going to be the best course ever.
the criteria is simple. Your fav hole for the corresponding hole number.
Fyi, I’ve played at least one course with consecutive par 3’s.
Stand corrected on the consecutive par 3’s .
Not a great fan of the one at Turnberry because it’s only a good hole from the back tees , but will be down to the public.
And the par 4 at RCD is a far superior hole is every way
At least that I can understand. Never played the course so no idea what the holes like but sounds a bit silly. Mind you I stand by not thinking the Postage stamp is the best par 3 in the world. There's a famous par 3 at North Berwick with the green sloping away, known as Redan.
They copied it at one of the US Open courses, dried it out and made a complete mockery of it when nobody could keep it on the green.
It's still all or nothing though. If you duff it you aren't getting your ball back ?.Cameron hit from the championship tee. I wouldn’t have been able to reach.
We played from the yellow tee and i didn’t think you had to cross that much water.
