The Cuts Keep Coming

Monthly medal today and an average front 9, out in 48. Nothing spectacular but a platform to build on as I normally score better on the back 9.

On the back 9, however, my game went into overdrive and I came back in gross 40 (off a handicap of 23).

Came in with a gross 88, net 65 and am currently in the lead with not many more to come in.

Looks like I should be down to 21 in the next few days, 1 off my season target and 6.5 down since the start of the season.

Looks like me dream of playing off 18 by the time the Belfry trip arrives is not impossible.

Good progress GB72. 48 is a lot on the front 9, 3 over 5's - where are you going wrong on front 9?

I played an 18 hole Open at Aboyne GC yesterday, played steady bar a nightmare 8 (should've played the provisional!). Anyway CSS went up 1 for away players so I scraped into my buffer via the adjusted scoring rule....phew .
Last 3 games were 0.1's up so at least I stopped the rot. 3 games this week so hoping to find some form.

Problem with the front 9 is simply that I am working such long hours and commuting a long distance to work so do not get a chance to hit a ball between one weekend and the next. It takes me a few holes to get the swing going despite warming up in the nets before hand.

The results are in on Howdidido and it is officially down to 21 now, and my second medal victory of the season.
