Yes I've always added a dash of vinegar......also fresh eggs make miles better poached eggs than shop bought ones, even shop bought free range eggs, they stay together better and sit up more.
The school my missus works at has chickens and they take it in turns to look after them at weekends and school holidays and get to keep any eggs.........I love it when it's our turn!

I can only get 2 eggs in my pan. Is there a case for a bigger poaching pan?

Only if you really need to poach more than 2...personally 2 works well!

Fresher with the touch of vinegar and the albumen will contract more and you might get 3 in.

I like to use shallot vinegar but everyone will have their favorite.

I don't think anyone "bit", do we not understand the point, respect the opinion but don't feel it warrants further discussion at this time?

I certainly respect the opinion but I feel the holes are the right size. I sit another camp for speeding up the game that is equally divided in its opinions, not to be mentioned here of course as it has also been discussed and debated at length on this forum.
 
I believe the gang up responses are now very predictable which is sad really.

delc should be allowed to post whatever whenever he wants.

It's very easy to ignore threads especially the "established members".

New members may want to discuss this but would you want to add to a thread as a new member with all the "banter"?

Not a bad point, I do find it better if the same subject is discussed from a different aspect if it is a common one, a fresh perspective or direction is great for discussion.
 
The issue is he doesn't just stick to the one thread with it - he already had a thread for bigger holes active , then created another one yesterday and another one today

It's what happened on another forum and the constant threads killed the forum
 
All I'm saying is look at how the responses to the thread may look to others looking in?
