After a couple days work landscaping for an uncles company I had managed to get 8 blisters on my hands needless to say i was in pain but itching to hit some balls so i took some ibuprofen and went to the range. As a result of the blisters I gripped the club a bit lighter and took about 10% out of my swing. BEST RANGE SESSION EVER!!! I have never hit so many balls out the middle. no better feeling than when you hit your shot and you barely feel the contact.

even though I had tried to dial it back before it took something like this to really make me realise when I tightened up again and it paid off playing better than ever.

Blisters recovering now so hope I can try and maintain that feeling

Seems a painful way to find "something" and hopefully you can learn from this. Be interesting to see how this goes on the course. I have grip issues as I wear away the pad of my left hand regularly and grip too tight. I can grip lighter on the range but nerves and fear always seem to make me grip tighter on the course. Its a mental thing I've given up trying to solve
