Had a game arranged today with thecraw at his new course, Old Ranfurly Castle. We were supposed to tee off about 1030 but called a raincheck and finally teed off before 1. This did cause the 2 other fairweather golfers to cancel

It was great to get out and continue my recent good form with regards to my swing control/speed.

The course was understandable a bit damp in places but not bad overall. Some cracking holes on it and a course I look forward to playing again. Anyone whos gets the chance should play it.

The food in the clubhouse was great and it was good to catch up with Crawford again.

Even my 7iron shank off the 18th tee couldnt take away the overall improvement in my swing, I think

Good times until my swing falls to pieces again.

Great that the swing is coming back. I hit the range as the course was seriously wet and a big comp going out and finally found something that threatens to repeat. Day off tomorrow and if the course is playable we'll give it a go

Anyway it was great to catch up with Fabian again, his golf really is night and day compared to where it was when I first met him 2 years ago. He's a dam fine player, almost in the Delb bandit catagory but not quite as he's four shots less than Del! (Only joking del)

The golf was good but as Fabian said the course was wet in places but considering the rain we've had on the West coast of Scotland it has held up well!

I was level par through eight (and hitting it great if I do say so myself) when a pulled drive left me with a punch 100 yards up the fairway under the branches or a gap through the trees that Seve in his prime would not have considered. A treble bogie later you can guess what choice I made!!!!!!!

Two holes later and more tree trouble I had a double to add to my collection! Must try and remember that thing called course management!!!!!

Great day, fantatsic to get 18 dry holes and good company, pains me to say that but Fabian is good company!
