Watched this on youtube today, course is unrecognisable from my last visit, almost decimated.
Will have to go back sometime for a proper look.

Funnily enough, I just got a message from a friend of mine who played there today. He's very much a fan of tree removal in general, and here in particular.Watched this on youtube today, course is unrecognisable from my last visit, almost decimated.

Each to their own and all but I cannot for the life of me see the appeal of whoever the hell ‘Tubes’ is, and his channel — from the thumbnail he looks like a right knob…like he’s trying to start a fight with someone, and from the few mins I lasted on another video he strikes me as someone who is so under-confident from his mannerisms and body language —- excessive over the top laughing is a dead giveaway (almost as if he can’t think what to say) cuddling and constantly touching his mate Bullard and his brother, lots of ‘ladz-bantz’ and horsing about…
It’s 14 year old behaviour at best
Rant over!
Same here. I enjoy seeing players of similar level to me just having a laugh on the course. Bullard is a touch of class, plus I enjoy seeing the numerous other pro footballers they bring on.It's my favourite YouTube channel
JB has some golf game....
Give it another year, and it'll be amazing, I think. Still too much scarring from the work at present.Watched this on youtube today, course is unrecognisable from my last visit, almost decimated.

Haven't had a chance to watch the above vid yet but I do watch all their stuff eventually.
I do concede that Tubes can get annoying after a while, he is a bit sycophantic with some of the guests. I actually prefer his brother Ange who has more of a sarcastic sense of humour that I like.Fair enough
I’m not into football at all so makes sense probably!
Here's the 12th to show the 1920s, just prior to work, and post work. Very interesting. That's a huge change since my last visit, which must be 5 or 10 years ago.
It is winter though and a lot of those trees will be in leaf in a month or so and it won't look anything like as bare.
I do like the changes though, some of the holes were too closed in, this is a heathland course after all.

Also, this gives a great, in-depth review of what's going on. https://www.golfcoursearchitecture.net/content/the-addington-unveiling-the-past
