With the news that my in-laws have got me a new cart bag, which was next (and last) on my list of changes that is me now content with what I have.
Sure there will be a few who laugh at that but this year has been one of change for my bag a few times as I tried to find kit that would move my game on and there have been a few changes through the year. And indeed that was my intention for 2012, to analyse where improvement can be made.
To put that in context though at the turn of this year my bag hadn't changed for 4 years. Until I hit a rut of hanging around 12.2 to 12.8 - a change of kit brought me a cut to 11 so was justified enough.
Despite what this year has been like I am not a serial tinkerer and now see my bag as complete for a good while yet - another 4 years? Maybe not but it won't be far off.

So to the point of the thread, with exception of balls, tees and general consumables, that's my spending done on kit. Which will allow me to play more courses next year.

How is everyone else feeling about their bag as we near the year end and the beckon of a new season on the horizon?

No real intention of changing my Ping G10 driver, G2 3 wood or Mizuno MX700 17 degree hybrid, but may change my three and a half year old MX200 irons in the Spring for a set of JPX825 Pro's or Ping i20's. Only started playing five years ago and have had two putters in that time, so quite happy with my Mizuno Krakatoa.

Have just bought a Clicgear trolley and will buy the bag to match, so my Gokart trolley and Mizuno Infiniti cart bag will be going.

Apart from that, just hoping for a decent summer!!

No Hakusa for you then :smirk:

As it stands just trying to get fit for next season. My wrist is out of the splint and I'm booked to see a specialist 10th of January so here's hoping

Equipment wise. No plans to change anything. I was considering some new wedges but after getting a bucket load of check with my 52 degree just before my hand went again so decided to hang onto them a little longer.

I'm just trying to build a stock of balls up at the minute. I have about 2.1/2 dozen that will last me next season but looking to add a few dozen more to keep a stock in.

Famous last words Greig ;)

Content? Yes and no, I'm tinkering at the top end more than anything. I also have my eye on a Scotty Cameron Studio Select 2.6, I've had a go with it a few times and like it but want a go on proper grass before shelling out.

Very happy with my bag apart from the driver, but then I'm needing to practice more as I've struggled all year with a few drivers

Given the "as new" condition of my irons and how well I'm getting on with my 3 wood and hybrid I don't see much change next year never mind the near future

The Hakusa are a pipe dream mate, I realise that they would do nothing more than give me a warm sense of well being
Glad to hear the wrist is going in the right direction mate.

I had reservations about the Cobra driver but after nailing it further and straighter than I have for a ling time at the range I think I have found something that works for me rather than the other way round.
Other than that, irons I love, putter I think is the best I have used don't need to do much more.

Thought you and the SeeMore were a pretty good team?

Love the SeeMore mate if I'm honest but have fancied the Scotty for a long time but would never spend the dough, don't know if I will but its a consideration.

Its another of those ones like "vokeys" I suppose. Lotta dough for a putter that may or may not do anything additional to what you have at the minute. But I get the lure of something that you really want. As I joked with Gareth above, I would love Hakusa blades, not that they will improve my game - simply because I really like them. Maybe one day.

Promised myself new irons when I get down to 18....

Then a couple of hybrids me thinks.

I'm always curious of buying kit based on targets like that. Do you think the kit you have can take you that far? If so, could it not take you further? What happens then if you get to 18 and the new kit causes you to regress where the old kit that you were used to maybe could have taken you past that mark? What if it doesn't, do you then buy new kit and negate the purpose of the target in the first place?

Just personal curiosity that makes me post that, more power to you if that's what drives your reductions.

Nicky awaits the call :whoo:

Already discussed to a certain extent

I think my current kit plus a group of lessons will get me to 18.

At some point in my life I want to own a set of these irons. If they had an adverse effect on my game then I'd cross that bridge when I come to it. I will have the full custom fit shebang though to ensure I'm getting the best fit possible.

I always set targets in my life, quite driven that way.

Got my eye on a red callaway Diablo cartbag as bored with the plain black ping one but that could just be because I keep passing it in the garage without taking it out to play clubs wise the new driver and putter still need to be tested please mr weather man

I'll never say never. No club had better rest in my bag or its out and onto evilbay!

My clubs ken the score!

I'm in two minds still with my bag.

Stuck with my G20's all year but hit a couple of Mizzy's recently and really liked them. RBZ 3w is a done deal and my next purchase will be a R11s Driver. Can't see me changing my putter so the big thing for me is, do I change my irons...
