I thought the ref got the decision spot on...

And the Torres miss was horrendous and shows that his confidence is still very low, even though it is getting better. It's a shame aswell because he was prety awesome in the game and if he'd scored that he could have come away from the game with his confidence building, but as it is that game has probably set back his confidence even more...

This is my point, there doesn't have to be intent. Otheriwse, who would decide if there was intent or not?

Goal keepers rushing out one on one has already been used as a good example, there is hardly ever intent to take a player down, there just always late after the ball is nipped away.

So you're saying everytime a late tackle happens it's a booking?

No, of course not. There are many things to take into account. Intent is one but not the only one and lack of intent doesn't mean it isn't a booking.
