You can also qualify as an amateur you know, as one of my assistant greenkeepers did last year for Carnoustie. ok he did'nt make the cut but it was a special time for us all and that is what makes The Open special for me. Plus its played on a links where you have to play "real golf" not "target" which when you're watching someone as dominant as His Royal Tigerness can get a bit boring.
