Tested a bunch of different balls

Why; unless you've got an enforced carry that you need to know this for, surely the overall distance is more important? I played with a guy yesterday whose carry distance far exceeded mine, but he was playing his second shot first most times because I was getting considerably more run than he was.

Sorry, I didn't mean to differentiate between carry and total, I just meant it was weird to compare golf balls based on 9 iron distance alone. ??‍

Lol...a handicap of 24 and a 200 yard 6 iron.
All I can add is, I need more than 3 clubs for a 60 yard distance gap

It seems ages since we had lots of posts telling us about "forum distances". I prefer to keep very quiet about mine.

That’s about my distance for a six iron and has been for about twenty years, I’ve only the last couple of years now started breaking 90 regularly due to playing more often.

It’s dispersion that was always the issue for me, not distance. Much bigger score killer too as having distance but less control leads to a lot more lost balls and penalty shots!
