Tesla 3

If Mrs Shark and Junior Female Shark bought one of those cars, would they become Tesla Girls?

NO NO NO
Tesla Girls Tesla Girls
Testing out theories
Electric Chairs and dynamos
Dressed to kill They're killing me
But Heaven knows their recipe

In a blog post, Tesla said a test drive was not needed because you can return a car within seven days, or after driving 1,000 miles, and get a full refund. "Quite literally, you could buy a Tesla, drive several hundred miles for a weekend road trip with friends and then return it for free," the blog said.

As stated above
Yes I saw that but that will mean they'll still have my money and the faff of getting it back, and the insurance, and what if you get a loan?
Personally it would put me me off buying one.

Never saw that as one of Petula Clark's best songs 🤔

Toyota do a hydrogen car. At present, there are 3 sites in the UK where you can fill it up. One is in Hendon. Has a range similar to petrol. Trouble is you can only drive near Hendon.
So do Kia. The company I work for produces hydrogen and have worked with Kia. There are also hydrogen fuel cell buses and taxis. Long term I think this is the way to go.

100% long term, hydrogen will be the way to go. I thought I read at one point that it is very volatile, so is tough to store it (for fuel stations).

Friend of mine works at Hyundai and they are going to be pushing hard with Hydrogen in the future...so it may be here sooner than expected!

Not for me.
I think they are ugly and overpriced.
The technology has still got some way to go, and therefore I shall defer my decision for a few years.
Overpriced, maybe. But Ugly? No way! Pretty sleek would be my description, specially when i (don't) hear them as they go by!

But deferring decision could well be sensible too!

...
James May went across to the USA a few years back and did a piece on a hydrogen powered Honda for Top Gear. It was brilliant, he was in raptures. As easy to fill as a petrol car. No idea why the push has not been for hydrogen cars.
Because fuel consumption is diabolical! BMW's Hydrogen car was equivalent to about 4-8mpg! But that was on a 7 series (to cater for the tanks).
But Hydrogen is a helluvalot less contaminating - until the (yet to be defined) additives to improve mpg are considered!

Just check real world ranges, AC , heated seats, heated steering wheels etc reduce range. Panoramic roofs are heavy etc.. Tesla do have a website that works out the range impacts, but they start from their WLTP figures, so a little optimistic.
Biggest issue is charging, need to see how fast it can charge and how many power points there are.
I did a check near me and a full charge was £17.50, for 200 miles .. which I thought was a little too much.

Interesting. May was driving a Honda and he didn't experience that issue. Maybe it struggles with heavy cars disproportionately?

£17.50 for 200 miles depends what you drive now.. a tank in one My cars is £45 for 400 miles so tiny bit cheaper

Plus if you get a charge point at home will cost a lot less prob £5

I think it's infrastructure and change to something different. It's the most prevalent element in the universe and produces water as emission. Yes it's volatile but so is petrol. It's also more difficult to transport.
I would have thought it would be easier to incorporate hydrogen into the current fuel station system than electric power points? That's an uneducated observation by the way, I don't truly know how it works.

You can't use a mobile but you can watch a 32'' tele*

*Other sized teles are available

That’s not a tv, that’s just a diff type of display that you get in most modern cars
