So, yesterday, in the light of the fact that my Big Bertha was due to be turning up, I decided I'd spend my hard earned birthday money on a hybrid fitting at Totally Gold in Harlow. £139.99 later and I'm walking out of the shop with a new shiny G25 hybrid and a massive smile on my face. I can also highly recommend Totally Golf is you happen to be around there. Fantastic service, loads of gear in there and made my local AG look like a struggling independent retailer. Seriously impressed.

So, fast forward 24 hours and my Big Bertha arrives from Cameron at Callaway following the fitting opportunity last week at Wentworth. 2 days, 2 new sticks.

Sitting here today at my desk, new hybrid, new driver, both with stiff shafts. 3 wood staring at me with it's regular shaft and my confidence in it at a massive low......do I make it a hat trick and order the matching Big Bertha 3 wood??

Soooo tempted.

Man up swanny, shift all the regulars and that will fund 75% of the outlay anyway.... If not I have a nice voodoo svr6 stiff with an amp connector and grip I'd be will to sell!

If you're not confident in it then need to replace it or go to a range and see if you can get it working

But it seems you have your mind made up already :D

Yes have a look around as opposed to just getting a matching set .

It's where I screwed up last time, kitted myself out in Amps but really haven't got on with the 3 wood since day one. The guy yesterday said it was probably due to the deep face. He gave me the G25 3 wood to try and I immediately hit it a lot better than the Amp. That being said, I would really like to try some other brands to see what is available. The temptation is really annoying me though.

I hit Daveyc2k2's RBZ a year or so ago, hit 3 balls and ripped all 3 of them dead straight about 230 yards. Loved it. Wasn't so keen on the stage 2 though. Fancy giving the SLDR a bash.

I thought the Jetspeed was a better 3 Wood ( than the SLDR ) when I had a hit a while back

The X Hot 2 is supposed to be very good also
