Telephone Scam

If anyone calls claiming to be from the Government, they wouldn't leave messages like that on an answerphone...

If in doubt, go to the relevant .gov.uk website and send a message

Received 2 automated scam calls today from a female claiming to be from inland revenue.
Even left a message on my answering machine, saying me or my solicitor should call back immediately as this is a very time sensitive matter.
She then threatens if i don't call back there will be legal action taken.

So should i call 02031293857 ,:angry:

on a slightly different scam but a scam anyway ,i was phoned and asked about the accident that i had ,i told them it wasnt an accident and that i killed them on purpose ,the phone line went dead after a few seconds .i wonder why.

Double glazing phone calls. I keep them on the line for as long as possible, they soon go when I tell them I live in a tent.

I often try and sound as enthusiastic as possible, and then when they ask if I want to sign up to whatever deal I reply that I need my carer's permission.

Finally got through to HMRC after holding on for 20 minutes, and reported the attempted scam. They seemed interested, and said they will also pass the info to the police .
