Tee Time to avoid Royal wedding

Reckon the course could be very busy. Unfortunately, thunderstorms are forecast for my area so I could be trapped indoors with the wife and the mother-in-law who will both be watching. Now, where is that number for the Samaritans......?

I'm avoiding it too. Brunch at the club followed by 11am tee-off.

I can't stand the whole Wills and Kate debacle so avoiding it at all costs! My local village has decided to cover itself in bunting too to really rub things in!

tried loads of courses this morning and couldnt get a tee time pre 12:00noon. settled for a local pay and play for 7:45, yes ill be back in time for the wedding, but i also have enough to do at work to go in and not have to watch it. ;) the golf in the morning is just a bonus.

I am playing Friday morning about 10am. Usually like to get round as quick as we can but will have no problem if it takes 5 hours which should avoid the whole thing!!!

Paul Lawrie playing our course in the morning along with our best Juniors, will be great to see what an Open Champion does around the course and then along to play Forfar in the afternoon...should be a great day

Leaving Edina on Thursday evening for a weekend of golf...Kirkcudbright,Brighouse and Moffat.Just hope the weather is braw.

Paul played Rosemount last Wednesday. I didn't see him as I was playing in the medal on the Lansdowne. Good turnout though and thoroughly enjoyable by all accounts.

playing the double-header (Grimsby/Normanby) on Friday, Royston on Sunday, should be a roll-up at my place Monday - now what do I do Saturday?

(oh and the May medal Wednesday morning)

I have a 14:36 tee time, it will take me an hour to get to the club with an hour and a half practice before I go out, so I will have time for brunch at the club and avoid the whole thing. I dont think anyone is really bothered by Wills and Kate, let them have their day but they didnt invite me so I can have some fun.

I hope the happy couple have a great day and a long and happy life together. I still wont be watching it though.
Gotta find a game, quick. lol

No golf for me, I like a bit of a pageant and will be tuning in with HID. Golf can wait until Saturday and Sunday for me.

These things only come around very rarely and I've got fond memories of family parties for the Silver Jubilee and the wedding in '81.

So, why not enjoy it with a glass or two of something nice?

If anyone needs a game, we have 2 spaces opned up due to injuries at our Spring Howdidido meet at Oulton Hall near Leeds this Friday/Sat.

Details in the arrange a game section, but cost is only £129 for 2 rounds, Dinner, Bed & Breakie. You get a double room for that.
Around 24 like minded golfers. I've been to 3 of these meets now and they are brilliant with some great characters!!

If anyones is interested let me know ASAP.

Friday tee times start 11:40 and Sat is 12:30
