Tee Marker Width

Yes, something very silly about those tee markers.

However, for me there was something else on that photo that was deeply worrying...

Impossible to tell! One of our group assumed that and was about to pick up the right one to move it, when another player stopped him and said you can't move the tee markers in the rules, which makes sense of course. So we just had to deal with it. We were the first group out at 8am though, so who knows. The guy who reckoned it was the apprentices greenkeepers also remarked "this is what you get when people who don't play golf are putting the markers out".

I presume you were playing in a comp so the answer would generally be no.

If not common sense prevails.

As first group out you have phoned the office and got them to send some one out or get there approval to move them.
