Team Stableford at the Carrick

Just signed up for a Team Stableford at the Carrick on the 19th July, £300 for a four ball which get us breakfast 18 holes then lunch and prizes (hopefully lol).
Has anyone played this before and do you think it is good value????

Mmmm....just played the Carrick on monday in the People's Open for £50.

Was really looking forward to it but left sadly disappointed i'm afraid (and not just with my performance!)

Green were awful being muddy in places and scorched in others.

5 fairways were using preferred lies as new drainage has made them virtually unplayable.

Also a host of bunkers were GUR due to poor drainage or reshaping.

I know they had a harsh winter but this is June!

I will not be back until the condition has improved. If you are paying top whack then you expect top conditions IMHO.

why on earth would anyone pay to enter a competition if an reading that right is beyond me .. If it were for charity all entrance money is donated then fine ..

The promoter of the Comp shouldn't need to ask for entrance money from any competing entrant the people hosting the comp should have enough capital to cover all costs ..

I've never yet seen a Charity golf day advertised for free.
If you ever see one advertised, please let me know. Especially if it is being held on a top golf course.
I would love to play in it. Along with the 30,000 others.
