Thanks Mike and thanks again to Golf Monthly for paying the entry fee, we've had great fun and had good trips to Douglas Park, Cochrane Castle and new we're going to Kilmarnock Barassie which is an open qualifying venue free of charge plus a couple of meals thrown in for good measure.
Fingers crossed we can grind out a result but either way JJF69 and I have had fun. JJF69 has been a rock throughout and some of his golf has been something else. I've just made conversation with the opponents and contributed here and there.

Well done guys on making the final. I will see you there on the day, I made it through aswell on the singles so looking forward to my wee day out next monday.
P.S. - have they sent you an e-mail with tee times for the day ? Think it says on the website that they would nearer the time but I've not had anything through yet ?

Have you played the course before ? I've not and was thinking of going for the reduced rate practice round this week, just to have a look n a feel for it. Think that be a good idea ?
