Has anyone else bought the new fairway wood, as i have only just got it and would liket o know what others think about it. When i took it to the range a couple of days ago, i compared it to my old original v-steel, and the differences are clear to see, with a completely different look and feel at address, with slightly more weight to allow you to feel in control. The shot dispersion was good, with the majority of shots down the middle with a nice sound at impact to boot. The distance is incredible in comparison to my old wood, with a gain of at least 25-40 yards on straight shots. But as far as shaping my shots went, i didn't see too much improvement in comparison to the v-steel, except possibly the lower, more penetraing flight, to give fades and draws a bit more bite. Overall, the best 3-wood i have tried in some time.
