What are people's views on the RBz driver as I had my now for 4 rounds and I just can not get on with it,I have gone backwards on my driver and it is really knocking my confidence in driving I am completing going back to ping

I know 2 people who have it and they both seem to slice with it no matter what settings they have it on. They are off 10 and 12 and never had this issue before they brought one.

friend with h/cap of 4 bought his 4 weeks ago, never seen him Drive the ball so badly, maybe its the shaft changes?

People seem to be loving the RBZ 3 wood and hybrids (I have the 3 rescue and love it).

is the driver just not as good? Did I read somewhere that TM put most of their focus on the 3 wood?

I used mine for the first time yesterday. First tee shot excellent but then couldn't find the right tee height for most of the round. The last few holes were good, and very straight.

The 3 wood is exceptionally good, best I've had for years.

Same here ever drive is sliced badly but I have the 3 wood and after today's round I was using that more to tee off I think my RBz had to go

what shaft did you get, S or R etc and your h/cap? were you fitted for it?

I've had a demo 3 wood in my bag for 10 days and really like it. I handed it back into the pro today and arranged to be properly fitted for it.
I also mentioned that as I liked the 3 wood so much, I might look at getting fitted for the RBZ driver as well.
He sort of wrinkled his nose and said that in his opinion there were better drivers out there.

In my opinion, the shafts are just too light weight to control properly. Not really my cuppa these bendy straws that manufacturers are calling shafts!

dont do it ian, im testing one with a better shaft in it. today wasnt the day for testing though. 145 yards into the wind 4 iron just made it

Did you check which one you got? They do it in 2 head options. the standard and tour option. Standard being a draw bias and the tour being a straight bias. Then you get the option of TP in both models where you get the higher spec shaft.

Any driver change for me would require a new driver fitting, got fitted for my last driver after having it for half a year, went from hitting 4 fairways to missing about 4!

So from my experience the head makes a difference to distance, the shaft makes a difference to the shot shape! No point adding 17 yards to your drive if it means you go 17 yards into the crap...

My advice to anyone would be go and get fitted for the shaft by a quality fitter, mine cost £90 for the shaft, fitting session, new grip and installation. Bargain IMO!

blimey,i was looking for a new diver, but after reading this lot not so sure,

you will find such views represented in piggy back threads like this -

I don't need one 'cos I am happy with my current driver but the 7 handicap playing against us in a league match today missed 1 fairway, and didn't misshit the 3, 5 or hybrid once.

no slice - simply nailed with a effortless swing every time....

the pro at the club advised me that he's never had a club sell on the basis of 'word of mouth/satisfied customers' so fast before.

however, it's not a magic wand for people who can't use a driver; strangely....

i meant they are really good quality clubs (just incase i try to sell it on here)

I think the heads are, but either the shaft is wrong for the person or the shaft options are generally not ideal but work great on "iron byrons". Great for marketing but you probably wont know till you play with it week in week out. Of all the clubs in the bag if you can only custom fit one shaft it SHOULD be your longest club!
