I have the TP MB Irons and i love them!!! From 7 iron down they are great, but will agree that the longer irons are difficult, hence i only have up to a 5 iron. I have thought of changing but every time i give them a clean i just can't part with them. I have always wanted to try the RAC TP irons as they look real nice. Darren Clarke had those for years i think??

I have had my hands on TMs and I just dont like em! simple!

The ones being spoken about here, unless you have a genuine good feeling with them and they actually give you the confidence to improve, I wouldnt bother. there are some top makes out there you can get for that wonderful price.
Maybe you could buy them and sell them to someone at the club who is unaware of this deal. ;)

I agree that we have been talking low handicap player material here. I know I certainly couldn't hit them with any regularity and wouldn't get enough benefit to warrant getting them. For my mid-handicap (and potentially lower) status the tour burner (same as Cally X22/20 tour) give me a smaller face, thinner top line and maximum forgiveness and that suits me fine.

If I ever get back to low single figures I might have a rethink but for now I'm happy where I am. Thats not to say I'm not going to try everything on offer at the TM demo day tomorrow but will go there open eyed. I'm really only after a driver for reasons already posted on other threads but may just have a look at a 3 hybrid and see how it compares to my Cobra which is 3 years old now.

I think Darren Clarke plays those irons.

Sergio is now off the RAC MB TP's. TM have made a tour only forged version of their new Tour Preferred iron to get him onto the new line of products. Expect to see Justin Rose bagging something similar.

I think they're that price because it's an old stock model. I'm not sure if they're even worth that price.
