How do you guys think you are doing handicap wise this year?

Did you have a specific goal; have you achieved this yet going in the right direction or creeping up 0.1 every time you have a scorecard in your hand?

I wanted to get down to single figures this season and stay there, so first part done.

Started on 11.2 now 8.6.

I had a few,

Brake 80 at the local (par 68) done that 8 weeks.
Brake under 10 over around any of the locals (done that)
do now the last one is get to 12, started the season off an estimated 18.

Down from 9 to 7.9 so far this year (looking to get back to at least 6 though as long as its a drop, its a good season)and looking forward to each and every Saturday which is dangerous as Im back playing on my 4th year already, doesnt time fly when you work all week and look forward to Saturdays.

Started the season on 13.3 set a target of 10 for this season. Won a big competition a few weeks back and down to 12. Will keep plodding on

Chris

Iv had .1 back for the last 5 comps.... Going from 17.4-17.9......Iv been fighting a pull hook although i am happy with most parts of my game im Scratching at least 4-5 holes a round because of the shot shape....Im still averaging 30 points which is some consolation....I do know that when i sort this though that it will start to tumble again hopefully......My goal was to get from 21-12.....But being realistic now im only 6 months gone since i said it....Id be happy to get to 15 for this season...That would be a drop of 6 shots since last season.
Ill battle on though...Never give in

Target 3 at season start, season started terribly, returned a lot of 0.1's early on. Have found some form lately though (2 rounds played to handicap or better in the last week)

Season so far have had three cuts totalling 1.0, one buffer zone and fourteen 0.1's so overall I'm 0.4 worse than when I started. Have gone from 3.7 up to 4.5 but back down at 4.1 now.

Confidence is on the up at the moment despite playing little golf and I've put in for a 2 rounder midweek so here's hoping I can sneak another cut and get back on my quest for a 3 handicap.

Fairly static handicapwise. Began at 9.6 and am now 9.8. Target of single figures is still reachable. Just got to put a card together.

Currently 5.4. Exactly the same as I started the season having played 19 comps since April. The goals were to stay off 5 (so far so good - just!) and be more consistent which I feel I have done. Last year at the same time I was up to 7 with all the 0.1's accumulating only to be rescued by a nett 7 under - rounds which don't come along often. Overall I'm happy though, there's time yet for the final goal of getting below my lowest ever whcih is 4.9.

I had a couple of targets. Get to single figures and/or play a level par round. The book "Dream On" was my inspiration for that. Start of year was 13.2 now 11.2, I had a 74 at my local course (SSS 69) and that was with a triple bogey 7 on the last, this is the closest I have come.

My only target for the year was to get to 15 and have achieved that. Now looking at consolidating and if I can get a bit lower then so be it. That then leaves a winter of practice and next years target of 12. Too be fair the way its going at the mo I may see a 12.something this year so will have to change my 3 year target.

Wanted to get to 20 but stuck at 23 :( Hard to get a cut at my gaff. Par 71 but CSS always 68/69 and I usually hit 69ish.

Handicap wise I set myself a target of 16, I'm now 15.1. So delighted about that.

Other target included break 80. Closest I've come is an 82 so far. And win 3 comps. I've won 1 so far.

80 I thinks is doable, 3 comps I think is going to be tough now my handicap has dropped so quickly.

I was 11.2 at the start of this season. Single figures was the initial target but really I wanted to get down to 8.

Not done too well so far (just one cut and a few 0.1's) but plenty of time left yet. I still think I can get to 9, but 8 might be pushing it this year.

Target is still single figures. I'm down from 12.6 to 11.1 but was at 10.6 before my hook appeared. 38 points last time out was only good enough for the buffer zone so I reckon I'm 2 or 3 cuts away from my goal - starting Saturday :D

Target was to get to single figures and to cut out all the silly do or die attempts that were costing me shots.

I am now much more consistant and shooting around my handicap in most games and would have been lower but for the CSS.

Started the year at 11.5 and was hoping to get down to 7, had a great year last year, went from 17 to 10.5, but moved back to ni and rejoined Galgorm, so took some getting used to, still hoping to get to 9, but time is running out!!

I'm not trying to get cut. I want to go up to 13 (for a stroke on the SI 13), but play to 8!

El bandido está el mejor amigo del hombre

:)

I got my handicap of 10 in February. My aim was single figures for 2010. I'm at 10.4 but I had a cracking round on Sunday so I should go down to 9.8 at the very least so I'm heading in the right direction..

Wanted to be single figures and after handing 3 cards in I got 8.
Played average since and shoot to about 14-15 and because of only managing one comp this year ao far because of work and many other commitments I can't really say I'm a single figure handicapper.
On paper yes but in reality I'm about 14 without the competition results to prove otherwise.
