Swing thoughts

If I've been working on something specific on the range then I'll have that as the 1 thought for the round and won't change it. Regardless of how I'm swinging or what else is wrong.

I found in the past I'd start with one thought, make a bad swing, analyse it, then there's two thoughts. By the time I'm half way round I could end up with 4-5. Recipe for disaster.

When I'm not working on something, which is rare, then I try to have no swing thoughts. Just pick a target and hit the ball there. That's usually when I play my best golf.

I find if I just think about my swing plane that's the only thought I need.

If I am on plane chances are I am going to be striking the ball really well.

If I overload my thoughts it all goes pear shaped.

If i'm on plane it means I am going on my holidays :-)

My current swing thought is to make sure that I release the club just before impact at the bottom of the swing.
