Sutton United v Arsenal

I thought It'd be 6 - 0 to the Gunners, Sutton should be immensely proud of themselves, especially as they didn't resort to persistent fouling and did create chances

thats coz we have better pies :)

Honestly, he knew that bookies were giving odds on him eating a pie on TV during the game, he tells his mates to put some bets on.
Duly chomps down a pie, gets filmed doing it, blags about it the next morning to Piers Morgan on live TV and he wonders why the Gambling commission are investigating.

its a sad end to what was a bit of fun

And there is no surprise that there is a certain red top toilet paper rag smack bang in the middle of it all.

The bet wasn't on football, so what's the problem. It's the bookies that sponsor most teams.

Personally I don't see what the problem is. I met Wayne recently and he is a decent chap. The bookies got burnt for once and should not offer silly bets if they are not prepared to accept they may have to pay out. Nothing to do with football.

Ban the entire club from football for life, sell the ground, bulldoze the stands and build houses there. Have a bonfire of all the equipment.

Anyone would think I have a grudge against the Amber Scum :D

Spot on.
Its not like what he did could affect the result.

If you offer bets like that it is for the publicity. They've had loads of it, far more in value than they have paid out. Hopefully the bloke will be back at Sutton in a month or so.

It seems silly that it's got blown so far out of proportion but at the end of the day he must have known he was on a hiding to nothing and it has tarnished what Sutton have achieved in their cup run this year. I thought they played well, were well disciplined and had their chances to make it an interesting evening for Wenger.
