I maybe a little bias on this subject but for me the improvements made to swinley in the last three years are nothing short of miraculous there's no stone left unturned from improvements in the club house through the entire course 15 new tees and two more to follow this winter 2 greens 're shaped with new bunkers and Heather beds around the greens,a new practice ground with a new green and bunkers for chipping pratice all credit to the entire swinley staff and this is only 3 years into a 5 year plan can it get any better so its swinley for me

It seems so close - I must admit I was smiling more at Swinley - that view of all three holes is just spectacular and the view of the 18th including the clubhouse is better than the Old - the greens were better at Swinley as well

I expect when i next play Swinley that will become my favourite again

I may go as far to say that Swinley seems to have the best of both of the best bits of the new and the old courses at Sunningdale.

Then again, I may not.

Haven't played Swinley for years, so looking forward to my game there in two weeks with Paul.

Is Paul the most popular man on the forum.:)

I think you may be right

But then again you may not be :p

Well I played 18, had 48 points, met Prince Andrew, got free beer and slept over with Sandra Bullock in the secretaries office (whilst she put her glasses down her nose seductively, and sucked on her pencil).:ears:
Yes and you still refused to pay the £10 I won from you :whoo:

Old although my experience of the New was tarnished by rushing to get in before dark. Only just managed it and the fact it was hosing down up the last didn't help. That said, both were glorious especially with the heather in bloom and it was a great day

It's pretty simple really. The Old is prettier and has more charm but the New is a sterner test of golf. This is reflected in the GM course rankings

Can't vote as on mobile but they're near impossible to split for me. If I could swap some of the holes from the New and put them on the Old I think we'd have the perfect course. Only thing that let the New down is I thought the 18th was a fairly featureless hole. Considering I managed to find every feature regardless - including the 1st - maybe I'm wrong :)
