Hi all anyone out there thinking or got the new street shoe range yet. The shoes with moulded dimples instead of metal or soft spike. I need a new pair of shoes this summer and was looking at some Ecco street shoes but at £160 a pair they seem a bit of a gamble at that price. There r other similar types out there which I would also consider but as they also look like trainers I wonder if people would try to complain about me or to me if they see me wearing them on the course. And what will the grip be like in a really dry dusty summer if we get one. Opinions plz

i love the look of them, im investing in some soon. the adidas ones. one ebay store has them at £50 including postage. good price! check them out

ive addidas adi cross ,love em all i ever were, never slip or anything and a 3rd of price of ecco, would highly recommend, just small fitting so buy 1 above size you normally buy

got mine from snation golf next day delivery if you phone em up

Ordered a pair of the Ashworth Cardiffs this week, not got them yet so cant comment on performance yet, won't be an issue wearing them at my home course but can see them being an issue if I rock up in them at some of the other courses I play at. Anyone else think its only a matter of time before some of the stuffier golf clubs change their dress code rules to state that golf shoes must have spikes in rather than a moulded sole?

Played in the adiCross yesterday, great shoes nice and comfy and no issues with grip or traction.

Today I wore my adiPures and I think I prefer the adiCross!

Just checked out the Adidas cross overs on eBay they do look good and not so much of a risk at £50 only problem I have now is colour combi and my missus say they look like a young persons shoe may be not for you. I'm only 39 for god sake women not over the hill yet.

Ordered a pair of Ecco Biom Hybrids from our Pro Shop today, my mate has them and said there so comfy. Didn't like the Adidas ones they just looked cheap and nasty to be honest.

Vivo Barefoot ones are fantastic, i broke my ankle 2 years ago and every pair of shoes i have tried have really made my feet ache, adidas, Stuburt. my son does barefoot running and introduced me to Vivo barefoot shoes, i thought it was a bit of a con, then tried some of his shoes and they are so comfortable, bought what they call golf shoes (dont wear them when its wet!) and they are fantastic so comfortable, but like wearing slippers so very flat.. they have been reviewed in one of the golfing magazines recently

Not tried them myself. But my mother wore a similar pair in the summer for years and she was 70 yrs old. Don't know what make but they had the dimple sole like the ones today. Just goes to show no new ideas out there. It was 10 years ago when she was wearing them. Think she had the same pair for 5 yrs and she played everyday.

I was only thinking about these before and how comfy they were. Seen some nike ones but all the little scallys by me have the trainer versions so have been abit unsure but my footjoys have never let me down yet still waterproof and comfy after all the years.

I got two pairs of Adi-Cross from Snainton for £45 a pair. Not tried them on the course, but used them at the range and they feel comfy.

AG price matched an online shop and did me a pair of Ecco Streets for £90, i don't know where you saw them for £160 but google is your friend.

Very comfy pair of shoes!

Just checked out the vivo barefoot on amazon they look cool a bit more expensive than the Adidas but look good. Now I have a dilemma what to get

Is it me or is this just a trendy incarnation of the pimple soled shoes that were the rage back in the 1980's. I remeber having a pair of stylo with similar patterns albeit not as good looking as the modern version but this isn't a new invention. I like the look of the adidas range and it might be good and more comfy were we to ever get a summer and playing on bone hard fairways
