Switched from MCs to the tour velvet full cord and find I get much more traction with the full cord. Softer too, so maybe that's why it feels more grippy.
A bit thinner than MC but couple of tape layers soon sorts that.

I use Funk'd revolution cord grips and am finding them great in the dry. They have still to be tested In the wet but it was the reason I went for the cord version over the standard.
Cant go wrong at £30 for 13 grips as if they don't work out I'll cut them off and start again

Lamkin cross line on the clubs at the moment. Not as soft as my old tour velvet and will go back next time I need to change. Best all round grip in my opinion
