Sticking 2 fingers up to the 02 and their parking prices.

2 weeks ago i visited the 02 in london to watch some indoor motorcross which was a prezzie from my little sister. On arrival to the site im greeted with a nice large flashing sign " supercross parking this way "... sucker..... got to the car park i was indicated to use and low and be hold, £25.00 parking charge for 5 hours of racing. Now at this point althought sore from the cost i expected that they had inflated the parking charge to help the costs of the event as it was using the main arena that sits 23000 people yet only 8000 seats were available.

well last night was time to see russell howard live there and again " russell howard parking this way ". Pulled into the same carpark expecting a inflated price for parking but not as much as the previous event - BANG £25.00 parking.

Sod it, turned round hit the other carpark for 02... £3.00 all day sunday. The best bit was as i went to buy a ticket a very nice lady who was leaving gave me hers.

So... Oddsocks 1 - 02 1. Let the battle coomence.

Note to any one using the 02 for any events, DO NOT use the first carpark as you pull in as indicated as you will get screwed, hit the one near the train station and its £3.00 on sundays all day or £8.00 all day saturday, Still £18.00 cheaper that the car park they want you to use, And its closer!

Wish I had known this before Saturday. I went to the o2 to see Russell Howard Saturday, but had pre-booked the parking at a cost of £20. Will bear this in mind for any future events I go to.

P.S. How funny was Russell Howard. I was crying with laughter through some of it. Especially his story of self touching at 14.

or the burglar wank... yeah he was funny although i cant help but think some of the stuff was close to the mark. the stuff about prince harry's wedding .....

yup been screwed by the 02 once... never again, my car park saving paid half our meal bill

That's what I was talking about, the burglar wank.

What he said about Prince Williams wedding is true though. No-one cared too much but then we were told it was a bank holiday so became a lot more interesting.

I think comdeians have to be close to the mark, that's what makes them funny.
