Stepping away from the ball, slow play.

Well done I say!

How many times do you hear (say) "I was never comfortable stood over that" or words to that effect? I know I'm guilty of it and we never stand back and go in again and it always leads to a poor shot that probably costs us a bogey or worse!

Provided you're not one of those with the 45 second pre-shot routine (did anybody else think Keegan had sped up last weekend?) it's not going to offend anybody that doesn't already consider time before score!

'Kevin Na' would be a better name than 'Bin Juice'!

I'd forgotten about the bin juice incident  good memory

I've no problem with stepping away, even though I've only done it once or twice.

What contributes more to slow play more are pre shot routines that involve multiple practice swings, standing behind the ball for alignment, followed by 3-4 more practice swings.....what's the point

I did, I mentioned to the wifey that they were almost marching down some fairways as the caddies were skipping and running along behind them at times!
I'm sure that with someone else to carry our equipment, we could all march down the fairway just as fast.

What struck me most about the Open was that if it weren't for all the spectators and spotters around, most of those pros would lose multiple balls per round and return a score at least 10 shots higher.

Brill thread! I take similar time in my routine however play a lot better.

The opposite infuriates me! My playing partner sometimes walks up hits it and tops 3 ft forward upto the green.... But his time I've putted out!

But to be honest we played through a three ball as well and they were 3 holes behind us... After 9 but soon on our tale around 16 holes!

Time of playing partner to have lessons!!

Back on the thread... I think many of us do it and some probably don't admit to doing it!
