Staying inspired?

I got some inspiration today. An epiphany.

I actually made a "perfect" backswing....first one ever unless I've done it by mistake.

Obviously, perfect is had to define, but my pro said, "had I have caught that on video there'd be nothing to criticise".

It felt awful.... :D :D

I've just spent 3 1/2 hours on the range working on things from my lesson on Monday followed by a quick 9 holes.

Trouble with inspiration? Not me :D

But how did the 9 go?

Have you applied for a name change?

I played 3 balls, not a hook in sight and some quality shots so hopefully that's fixed.

Be very careful when making assumptions like that as hooks have a tendency to jump up and hit your brand new ProV1 straight in the left hand field.
Stay focused and you'll be allright. :)

I hear you loud and clear Bob. I will always be prone to a hook as my major fault is dropping the club behind me on the downswing and trying to compensate with my hands.

I know it's in there and will keep rearing it's ugly head but up until June I've probably hit 2 this year, my last 2 rounds I hit one every other shot!

I'm starting to get a pretty good understanding of my swing and what causes my bad shots through regular lessons and the aim is that this understanding will enable me to identify the faults during a round and not let it ruin it.

It isn't going to work all the time but my pro said to me when I started working wirh him was that he couldn't stop me hitting bad shots, just reduce the number I hit but for that to happen I have to work hard and understand my swing.

Enjoyment! but what keeps me at it is a sub 80 round that i know i could do one day, but the momment if i dont enjoy my golf i'm out of it.

My regular playing partners play off 4 and 6 and watching how they play drives me to perform better everytime i play. The most noticable difference is how consistant and accurate they throughout the round.

My accuracy at times leaves a lot to be desired.
