well two months ago i bought a nike sasquatch stand bag (before i had a dunlop :S) and at first I was extremely happy with it. Lots of pockets and storage for everything, but at the same time very light.

all of a sudden the stitching around the top of the 14-way graphite friendly top has started to split, which is revealing nasty metal that can easily damaged the graphite shafts on my 909 and TM 5 wood. Therefore i have been frantically thinking about what to do. Call up the shop and get them to replace it or suffer the worse and pay for a new driver and 5 wood next year when the shafts are conpletely destroyed.

well iv made my mind up!

called the shop and they said if i bring it in they will send it back to nike and i can have store credit for a new bag :) dont think i will be going back to nike probably the titleist X91 and get a nice new box of PROV1Xs.

Has anyone else had the same problem? or had the same sort of service from good shops?

one happy customer

Yes, I posted about this a little while ago & like you got a brand new bag and my 3 wood re shafted as a result of a very poor quality Callaway Bag.

Huge credit to Downshire Golf club for the way they handled it.

There is much to like about Downshire at the moment. They looked after us royally on Friday during the Longest Day Challenge and I'm always impressed with their service in the shop. Is that your normal course or are you a member elsewhere?

basically i went back to clubhouse golf today and got store credit. Finally chose the Titleist X91 to suit the rest of my stuff but because it only cost £59 i also got a 12 pack of ProV1x's (great!!) and a shrapie just to mark them :)

I use Downshire for the range although I do have the very occasional game there. As you say there is a lot to like about the place. I find the staff in the shop first class with customer service.

My home course is East Berks.
