St Georges Hill

I've been all over their web site since reading some of the comments regarding St Georges Hill and... Wow, what a place. What I fail to understand though is the reduced rates during August?

Also, looking at some society deals, especially the Summer Option 1 which interest me, and taking on comments read on here, do you actually have the 4 course carvery after your 9 and before your 18 when doing 27 holes as they talk about a "rolling carvery", surely that's too heavy a meal! Even the Summer Option 5 gives the impression you have the carvery first and then Afternoon Tea, Cake & Sandwiches afterwards, and that looks great value at £142 for August although I think I would want to do 27.

Reduced August rates usually means you are playing the course during a period of routine maintenance. This is the case at Sunningdale anyway.

Looks excellent. If I had a handicap, I would give that a whirl for sure.

Form filled out today, just need to get my club to sign it and it's going in the post. I had a look at last years field and the highest h'cap was 6 so I might still have to shave a bit off my h'cap to get in but we'll see.

Just looked up details from a Feb 2008 day - SLH would have loved it; GPS/RFs were not allowed!
All 3 nines and lunch (not the carvery) which was after playing the Red/Blue. $60 was a bargain! :D
