St Andrews for high handicappers?

I’m there for a week in June, hopefully playing a few rounds. I’ve looked at the first in fife golf pass, looks really good value.
This site is quite good for accommodation, a week cost me £800 but if a few of you splitting the cost then far cheaper:

Playing St Andrews New and Old in April (COVID permitting) never had any issues having a high handicap myself.
We are staying at Scores Best Western Hotel.

We did this last September - i'm sure you will enjoy it tremendously
My sister has a caravan there so was great for my brother and I - two friends stayed in an Air B'nB 5 minutes from the Old Course 1st tee
They checked certificates at the Old but i'm not sure they were bothered
I think both Old and New are very fair for higher handicappers - fairer than most i would say
We also played the Torrance course at the Fairmont - thought that was good value as well
All in all it was simply great
