sporting game

I am a good shot ( with a 303), but have never shot any animals. I guess I'd starve. Just don't like killing things. Don't mind others doing it, but I don't want to. Not into fishing either.

Not keen on hunting for sport though. To eat yes, to sell, yes, for the fun of killing stuff, may be not.

The idiot who shot the emperor on dart moor should have left it be. Magnificent animal. That is just getting your rocks off, pure and simple.

As I said earlier, I'd go shooting with Snelly for sure, not into killing things but if it was to be eaten then I wouldn't have an issue with it. Shooting 30 and letting them rot would be 100% different. I wouldn't want something to die in the name of pure fun, that's no sport, yes it might be exciting or even hard work and the 'fun' should be derived from that.

the pheasants we shoot are all taken home and on this occasion we took home 7 brace,2 of which will go to boreland estate and the rest go across the road to the owner of the capercaille as she loves pheasant.

Been shooting since i was about 10/11 id say , I have never eaten anything i have shot but also never wasted edible kill, i use to sell it to the neighbours (for very little) & buy more cartridges .. everyone was happy..

Havent been hunting / shooting in many years .. sold my clay pigeon gun a couple of years ago , just kept my hunting gun , Marocchi single trigger under & over .. lovely light gun ..

Thats why its called the food chain .. animals are made for eating
