SPFL Crowds

Interesting read that table, so 7 people in every 1,000 of the population of England attend EPL matches, seems very low. Fair play to Scotland for topping the league table (not something that happend very often!). I've been to one game in last 25 years in Scotland so clearly not helping with stats:mad:.

In reality that figure will be even lower, considering the amount of people who travel to England to watch premier league football every week.

First time I have ever heard of NI/Irish fans in 'large numbers' attending Edinburgh/Aberdeen games.

Can't speak for the Zombies, but would say that the amount of folk travelling over for Celtic games would be a few hundred per game at most, statistically insignificant.

It's also worth bearing in mind that Celtic crowds were way down last season - average attendance was circa 45k - and that will be way up next season. ST public sale started yesterday, the queue was massive, reports of some folk been there 7 hours.

I was at two games at Celtic Park last season - both crowds were given out at 40,000 plus - I doubt there were more than 25,000 at either - average attendance includes non attending season ticket holders - that's the same at most clubs - it's been a much more significant factor at Celtic than at smaller clubs in the last few years though.
