Splashed out today and bought a pair of adidas powerband 3.0's.. Got them for 89€......Anyone any experience with them......I didnt want to be spending a shed load of notes...
I sent my FJ Synrg's back to the shop i got them at as the were letting water in.....(only 8 months old)

I wont here back from them for 2 weeks but at least its money in the bank.....They cost me 165€ new at the time....
I wont be buying FootJoy's anytime again in the future i think.....Quality is suspect!

Bought new shoes about a month ago, wanted FJ Sports, pro said buy Adidas Tour 360 instead, FJ are pretty crap now.

So bought them, magic shoes, best I've ever bought, and all I seem to have read since is complaints anout FJ

Had fj sports and played 5 rounds and they split on the toe, spoke to the dealer I got them from and he replaced them, what is unteresting is the first ones had plain grey inners and the second set had a funky pattern on the inners. When I email fj I got the " out shoes are quality tested and we have had no issues with this model " response but I reckon the two different inner design is be able to tell the difference between the first batch and new batch as the second set have done 5 rounds now and haven't split

Same for me fella, had two pairs of Footjoy and both had to be sent back for splitting and being crap quality. Got myself another pair of Adidas adipure (the new 360 LTD) and never going back to FJ. They make good gloves but crap shoes in my opinion.

just ordered myself dry joys

this is my 3rd pair from direct golf.. in a year,

had, AQL's, some Nike ones cant remember model and now dry joys.

looks like i might get a few months from them before they will have to go back..

IS THERE ANY WATER PROOF GOLF SHOE OUT THERE !!!

@ CliveW, being a man from scotland and getting weather like us in N.I you might be onto something with the ecco.

@ freddie and oddsocks, i had a pair of Adidas shoes there when i first got into the golf few years ago and had the same issue with letting in water after a few months.. I dont mind if they go soft etc just hate having wet feet after a round.. I am likely to play about 40/45% of my rounds in wet ground, so having a waterproof shoe is number 1 for myself.

just hope i get a year out of the dry joys,.

dont the adidas come up strange sizing

No, well they dont for me. Think its just a Golfing myth.

Hmm, when i ordered mine via mail order i asked about the adidas new tour 4.0 ( i think was the number) the guy specifically asked

" had i tired adidas on yet as the fit can be a bit strange, either to narrow or atleast half a size small "

for this reason i opted for the fj sports. If these dont last ill get fitted for adidas and change brand.

I have never had any problems with FJ dryjoys, so would buy these again. That said, I haven't bought a new pair for about 3 years, so can't comment on current quality issues.

I wear Classics alot, which are not, and never have been waterproof. Good looking shoe though. Only for summer use, which for me is fine, as I don't want to get them muddy anyway.

I would quite like a very light weight pair which look like trainers, with mess uppers. Not seen any for sale though. The top Nike ones look ok, but again they are £140 +, and not quite what I'm looking for.

The best shoes I had for waterproofing have been Etonics. Can't remember the model but I think they had a 200 and 400 at the end and these were the 400's at about £80. Had them 4 years now and have only used them in winter for last 2. Hoping to get another winter out of them with the help of a good clean and dubbin etc. Never had a pair that's lasted more than one winter watertight before.

I would say that Adidas are a narrow fit but I wear a 9 the same as I do in everything else, sometimes with a new pair of shoes I may get a couple of blisters but IMO the fit afterwards is worth a little pain

I would agree Adidas are 1/2 size smaller than most and Nike on the other hand are a 1/2 size bigger.
Adidas have always been small for each size, they are alkso narrow.

And if you're buying mail order, just head down to American golf, try a few pairs to get the right fit, say "sorry mate, not today", then go home and order them :p
