Southport Coast Links Championship

Looks like good value to me, especially if you qualify to play at Birkdale. I would be interested in playing it at some point.

I don't think it sounds expensive, 5 courses that would cost £500-£600 normally and potential, very slim of course, to win some prizes. My only reservation is that you're paying by cheque to an individual so have no real recourse if the comp doesn't go ahead for some reason.

Contact one of the host courses,if that fella has placed some money down as a deposit, it seems more legit.

just looked at the address to send the money, could be wrong but i think this is a block of flats on a council estate near the fire station,if one of the leepark boys are passing they could give us a heads up.

The WIRRAL classic is a better comp and has been going a few years now and the h/c regime is tough, the winners club is contacted prior to any prizes being issued,£329 sound expensive what do you get for that.

I think at around £60 a round at some great courses is excellent value, especially if you get through to Birkdale but S&A isn't a bad 2nd place spot!

I think this is a knobbish comment without any substance, I'd do some research before making such casual remarks, and, what if the organiser does live there, I wasn't aware that organisers had to live in affluent area's! Do you have a separate agenda against this as you seem very anti?

No idea what folk are going on about, the event went ahead this year and was a well run event I am told by someone that played in it.

Looks good value if you have the spare cash and a spare week off work.

The wirral classic is a very similar event and it's in direct competition with the southport classic.
