I'm terrible with actually hearing the words in songs.(probably a condition) Despite the name of the song Bed and Breakfast Man by Madness for years I thought they were singing he's A Very Vicious Man.
So some of these songs mentioned in this thread I've heard hundreds of time and didn't have a clue what there original meaning was never mind the alternative.

When I heard "All Kinds Of Everything" in 1970, I thought it was a copy or inspired by, "My Favourite Things". Very similar lyrical construction.
