Something that EVERY GOLFER should read!

Justone, I tryed to open it but it just gives me a blank page. Any ideas why this happens? There are other pages that does the same. Do I need to download something to open pages like this?

Point 3 is an interesting one........ there are countless articles out there, and teachers, that talk about about "squeezing" the ball and hitting down into the shot.....

This Trackman tech data suggests it's a load of old ballocks...... is it?!?

Hitting down on the ball happens and so does the feeling of squeezing the ball but compressing the ball into the ground by hitting down on it is make believe. Unless you play for a top and roll.

If everything remains constant then trackmans figures are (of course) true. However, you can actually change your dynamic loft more by opening/closing the face or hitting down on it more/less so you can manipulate shots to create more spin.

The correct way to hit an iron is to hit down on it (even if that's 0.0001°) regardless of what spin you'll be getting.

thanks for the link Justone, a great concise document that clearly explains a lot of info that has been floating around in piecemeal lately.

Concise!!!!????? :D

I must have got the wrong link.

My attention span is shocking

I wonder where the nearest range is that's equipped with the ones you can use yourself?

I've tried searching but can't find anything.

Apprently the new Trackman only needs 3 metres of ball flight to work everything out, it used to be 5 metres.

On that basis, I could stick one in the carport, (okay it's a bit more than a carport) with a net at the far end. Now that would make net practice more worthwhile. If only I can 'sell' it to the Mrs as a business opportunity. Charge a nominal amount, able to supply teas, coffees, beer, Twiglets etc. Pair of speakers up in each corner so that you can connect your own ipod, and away we go. Oh and have a couple of PGA Pros on freelance contract for lessons if required.

I might even quit the fags if I have that set up at home. Rather than going outside for 10 miniutes of smoking, go and hit some balls instead. Beats the range anyday.

I'd rather have read the EU policy document on health reforms as it would have been shorter. Not very reader friendly and I gave up the ghost early doors.

HOwever you have got my interest. I have been working on compressing down more. Am I wasting my time. The higher swing plane feels alien compared to my naturally flat (too much at times) plan I'd prefer to use. I can see the benefit for me who lifts out of the shot on the downswing as it is keeping me more over the ball hand has improved my strike and distance but is it really a necessity?

Got my interest as well James me ol' pal. ;)

I like the bit that says that you need two different swing path's for drivers and irons....

This has me wondering that if i have an out to in swingpath, which i do then i must be hitting my irons properly in some ways.....Which leads me to believe that anyone that has on out to in swing path shouldn't really need to change it....

Or am i wrong? :D

It depends what shot you want to play and what your miss is going to be. Playing a straight shot it's easy to miss both to the left and the right of the target.

Geometrically out2in is a bad swing.
