society day (weekend)

I'm trying to arrange a society day for a few of us at work.
my question is, does anyone know of decent tracks in the north west (manchester and surrounding really), that run society packages at the weekend?
I'm struggling to find many courses open to societies at the weekend.

Mmm.....
Think you might struggle there pal, weekends tend to be "premium" time as far as the clubs are concerned. maybe you can phone a couple up and haggle a price if there are sufficient numbers??

Have you tried Mottram Hall or the Worsley Marriott

Mottram Hall is on my list, and a few of my Japanese colleagues are members there, so we should get a slightly better deal (if they come with us).
however a few are moaning about the price.
you know what it's like trying to organise something like this and trying to keep everyone happy, it doesn't happen!

Styal golf club do society's at weekends. Not played it for years so dont know what it's like now.
