• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

So what's Golf-Santa bringing everyone..?

I am getting my Epileptic cousin a strobe light for his Christmas.....

He is gonna have a fit when he sees it.

small things comes to mind :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've asked Santa for a new putter, Bettinardi BC3.

Santa really does exist because it's hiding in my wardrobe at the moment !

Been looking at one of these for a wee while, they are absolutely beautiful to look at and are a joy to use ( based on recent shop tests and current carpet putting tests!)

You are a lucky man, this really is a superb putter. The feel is unreal- it makes my insert putter feel hard And it is surprisingly forgiving when I make a poor stroke. It has been really confidence inspiring in the short time I have had it.

As for my golf related gifts- I am expecting none :( Actually I tell a lie, I have some ping winter mitts coming but that is all I think. I could well be surprised though.

Not a clue!!!!

HID always surprises me with the pressies, only guessed one pressie in 24years and that was on Xmas morning before opening.

I don't particularly loook forward to Xmas or like it but I try to make the effort for everyone else's sake.

YES, i AM a miserable Bar steward but I have some reasons for this that not everyone will understand.

Signed

Jim, I am just over the way in Chester, Often round your neck of the woods to play that Muni...Damn whats it called. Walton Hall thats it.

Welcome to the forum.

Might treat myself to an SC2.5 if the sales throw something up.

Turns out HID and the in laws have been taking notes, 3 boxes of DX2 (should last 2 rounds at Princess) Seve book, caddy lite and some new tees, good times.

So far golfing Santa has brought me two woolly hats, one baseball cap & a golf brolly for the golf bag... lol

Actually on top of that a golfing scarf, whatever one of those is... lol, but Calvin Klein whoever he is seems to think there is such a thing, there is alsoa golf book that not had timeto sit & look at yet & a Tiger Woods 08 game for the PC. Oh And almost forgot a Nike golf glove, a hipflask with ball markers, pitchmark repairer & universal score cards Really useful if I don't need to drive...lol

andiritchie, I actually got my clubs fitted by a friend at Urban Golf in Smithfield London. It was a fantastic experience and one that i would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking about having this exercise performed.

TonyN, good to hear that there is plenty of activity in the NW region. Hopefully there will be a meet up in the near future that i can attend.

Hope everyone had a great christmas day and wish you all the best for the New Year.
Cheers,
Jim

Jiminic007 there are often meets around this way. We actually have a couple in the pipeline. One is about 8 weeks away in Goswick, England Vs Scotland, Ryder cup special.

I plan on gathering a few people together in the next couple of weeks if I can so I will give you a shout.

a bit late because i was on a golf holiday in turkey.
Santa will take away my clubs and bring them back with new grips on them - what a nice present :D :D :D

As this is only my 2nd Christmas as a golfist I thought i'd learn from last year, so instead of 2 duff presents from my mum and brother I told them I wanted a new putter (Wilson 8876) they went halves to it and I had 1 good pressie instead of 2 naff ones. :)

My birthdays the 28th so i took the missus to AG where I got a set of Ping waterproofs and a pair of Nike TW 8.5 shoes. :)

And to round it off I am currently treating myself to some new wedges (well i've been a good boy). :)

I still got the usual from other members of the family (including some snazzy Calvin Klein balls :D)but overall I am very happy with the big red guy.
