so nearly walked off the course today :(

I've had 7 odd roundswith my new irons now and have been getting worse every time. Playing worse now than when I started last november, so I feel your pain!

Were both fairly new to the game Gibbo, I think the first couple of years is all about finding a consistent swing.
I've got 13 more months to find one :D

Im glad i logged on this morning. I seem to be experiencing the same purple patches are a thing of the past, and the golf seems to be very much on a downhill slump with the random ray of hope killed by regular blow ups.

At this moment in time i could throw the clubs in the garage and let them rust, its just reassuring to know im not the only one.

I walked off the course last week. Had a lesson in the morning and then got a call from a mate telling me to come down for a game....bad bad bad idea. From playing well and swinging well, to having my head filled with stuff my pro had just told me, so my dependable fade turned into a majestic hook...instead of just ignoring what the pro said and getting no long term benefits from the lesson, I left the course after 9 holes and went the next day down to the range to work on the drills I had been given. Dont regret walking off, and I know now to never ever play after having a lesson, must have some range time first
