• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

So long, farewell, auf weidersehen, goodbye!

I'm more interested in pictures of his fiancee
;)

I've got some you can have for a small consideration .

Adey, we never met and probably never will, but I still wish you and yours every success and happiness in your exciting new life ................... and that was said with a tinge of envy! I realy hope you find what you're looking for .
Maybe one day you'll get a few of us over for a GM Forun based Ryder Cup!
All the best fella,

Slime.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. Sat at Heathrow feeling a bit nervous now to be honest. Starting a new life, in new country, with a new woman, with no job to go to so will be unemployed for the first time since I was 14 (24 years ago). Had some good times at meets or just going for a knock around someone's course.

@PieMan, it was your fault I bought that god forsaken hat. When you looked at me like I did not have the bottle to spend £50 on it, let alone put it on my head in public, I thought it was a dare so had to live up to the name...... I might have looked daft, but at least
it helped me finish all 18 holes, not many did that day. I can still remember coming down the 18th on the Hotchkin with PieMan, Richart, Richarts mate and JustOne (yes that is a 5 ball for the quicker minded ones out there) like drowned rats but we where determined to finish and seeing that James partners had walked in he joined us.

... with lovely fiancée Christine.

Come on..... let's see the old hag!!!

Best of luck mate..... I bet you're looking forward to coming back to England for a holiday (not!!). Was a pleasure meeting you and soon as you're settled I'd appreciate an invite to play some US golf (free accommodation always makes the flight seem affordable)

Laters buddy.

People are more than welcome, just for you James I will put a picture up.......

All the best Adey, I'm sure you will have a great life in the USA. My Son did the same just 10 years ago, he went over and married an American girl, he now has a great job, big house, three lovely boys and a lifestyle he would find hard to get over here.

All the best , didn't get the chance to catch up at Hillside.

As someone who has lived in foreign climes , go for it and have a ball. Enjoy your new life and embrace all that is new ;)

All the best Adey. i'll never forget you tee shot on the first hole at Kenilworth on the 150 yard maker from 475 yard tee , awesome strike. Enjoy America, it's a great country to stay in. What part are you going to be in?
