It wouldnt be the pinnacle of the sport, the world championship would be. As is the case for Tennis and Golf where the olympics arent the number one event. Being in the olympics doesnt really work if it isnt the pinnacle of the sport. So why the need for the rant? Maybe it was cos Ronnie said the opposite and Murphy is not shy in giving the odd opinion on Ronnie.

The only other reason for being in the Olympics is to expand the sport. Should that be the motivation for getting in the Olympics?

The players will decide what will be the Pinnacle of their sport

If Snooker does go in the Olympics then its possible it could become the pinnacle

In golf and Tennis there are 4 major events that will IMO always rank highly for the players - in snooker they do have other events but only one high profile - the WC. The Olympics could take over the Worlds as it will be more open to everyone and no qualfying rounds etc

But i cant see it happening but Murphy can

And it didnt see like he was ranting - just giving his opinion

I see once again you have an opinion on something you clearly know little about if you think the WC is the only high profile event.
 
Turning into a really good final, both players knocking in decebt breaks. It's all setting up for an interesting final session this eveing.

Well it was a 65min frame! And the frame that made the breakthrough after a few nervy moments in the couple of frames before it!

Worthy winner after beating Ronnie, Trump and Murphy!
 
Definitely earned his title. Nice to see him get the rewards for his hard graft, he's played a load of tournaments this season.
