Any fans of the snooker?

One of my favourite sporting weeks in the calendar.

I'd love to see Ronnie get another title, but I won't be disappointed if Selby retains his title. Hopefully the Aussie gets pumped out early doors, not that keen on Robertson even though he's a very, very good player.

Feet up, snooker on, lovely. :)
 
Always hoping Ronnie will win. If he doesnt, would like to see Ding or Judd Trump win. Don't mind Neal Robertson but not overly bothered with Mark Selby or Shaun Murphy.
 
Nah, Murphy isn't really my cup of tea either. Trump is certainly in with a chance.

There is a similarity there, I'll grant you that. Wonder if the montgomerie moobs getting in the road of the cue action was the reason for his diet? :)

Have three favourites

Unfortunately Walden is already out and my other two player each other, Stevens & Williams

Cant stand Ding/Robertson or Trump

Quite like Murphy and Allen though
 
Being from Essex orginally I like both Ali Carter and Ronnie O. Bring back Pot Black I say, i used to love that show, not sure how they'd spin it out now though if Ronnie got in amongst the balls !!!!
 
Bingham v Murphy final.

I have been mightily impressed with Bingham and I really hope now that he goes onto win after dumping Ronnie and Trump out.

I hope Bingham wins. Not a fan of Murphy and after watching his rant about Snooker and the Olympics the other day my opinion hasnt changed!

What was so bad about what he said about the Olympics and Snooker ? Thought he said that if Snooker was in the Olympics it would be the pinnacle for the sport - which is exactly what the Olympics is for any sport - the pinnacle ( it's why IMO golf shouldn't be in )
 
Not a huge fan of Murphy, he has played well all tournament though, I think he might edge it. I think Bingham might have put too much into the QF and SF unfortunately.


Is Stephen Hendry the worst snooker commentator the beeb have? Helluva player but he is chronic when it comes to commentary.

Willie Thorne is by some considerable distance the worst snooker commentator on any TV channel, worse even than Joe Johnson on Eurosport.

Yeah considering Thorne won next to nothing he's got a lot to say. I don't mind hendry, he's very familiar with the modern game and calls it well.
