Read the full findings - It said his manager placed him in an impossible position. His manager was the one they found guilty of the match fixing and he was on the WPBSA Board.

Yes he was placed in an impossible situation at the time and he "may" have just gone along with what was said in the meeting just to get out of there. I probably would have done the same.
However I would have definitely sacked my manager on the spot after the meeting and very likely reported him and informed the authorities
The fact that Higgins done neither "may" have been because he was quite happy to throw the frame for cash.
Innocent? Never!!!!
He has got away with the Scottish not proven verdict and is very lucky still to be playing

I think Judd Trump will become a better player for losing.
It all looked oh so easy for him, I think falling just short will make himre-double his efforts.
I beleive he will be challenging for many years to come.
I think had he won so early in his career he might have taken his eye off the ball and never achieved when he possibly can.
That said Hendry was 21 when he won his first World Title, but he seamed to have more of a killer instict than Judd Trump has at the minute.

Back on topic. I think the youngster can be a star and will raise the profile and exposure tge game is crying out for. Watch out for Barry Hearn taking him under his wing.
If the journos thought he would go through with it wouldn't they have let him hang himself before printing the story, rather than jumping the gun?
Obviously, if they had waited and he hadn't thrown the right frame, then that would have proved his innocence and would have ruined a good story.
I don't think we should jump to conclusions given that the story has been fully investigated by an independent outsider with no axe to grind either way.

No. I am English and wanted the Englishman to beat the Scotsman.
That said, the massive chip that plenty of Scots have on their shoulder about all things English does get tiresome from time to time.
Again, back on topic, I agree with you - I bet Hearn sees this kid as the next golden goose.
