Any other SIM providers to consider.

I use Giffgaff (£6 for unlimited calls/texts and 1GB data). It's fine.

While we were waiting for FTTP to arrive, we used a LTE router with a Giffgaff SIM for our broadband - £20 a month for 100GB seemed a good deal, but I think there are now others offering similar value.

I'd have thought the main consideration is which network you'd prefer. Giffgaff is O2, and I believe Smarty is on Three. If you're in Cornwall, you need EE.

My private number and the wifes are both on Smarty. Get a reduction the following month for not using all the data.
They run on the 3 network.
Have had no problems with Smarty.
I should also add that although Smarty is on the 3 network, when I had my work numbver with 3, I would have issues at times with connectivity but I could then swap over to the Smarty network and it would be fine.
My work number is now back with EE, but the private number is fine on Smarty:)

I'm with voxi , which uses the Vodafone network.

£15 a month gets 75gb of 5g data (but all social media is free on top of that), unlimited calls and texts.

It's been a very good network for me, very reliable and good signal.

I’ve got a smarty SIM card in our caravan Wi-Fi box and if we’re not using it for a while we cancel pit the “contract” on hold

Also looking to change. Anyone got suggestions as to good providers if you also want to have free use abroad in Europe.. (use would very modest - handful of phone calls and fairly limited data use so a cap on free data not an issue).

Lebara are pretty cheap, they use the Vodafone network. I was looking yesterday, I'm with Lebara but unfortunately I have discovered that Vodafone has a dead spot where I live so I am looking to change, and I can get a Sim only deal with O2 for £6 a month, free calls, free text, 5gb of data. I suspect I will go for that. Both of those, so far, still offer free use in Europe.

iD mobile is the one I use not sure if the deal is available but I have a sim only contract for £8 per month for 10gb data plus unlimited calls and texts andcan use in Europe at no extra cost.

Where did you see that?
The O2 website wants £12 a month for that, and you need to commit to 24 months (or £15 a month on a 12 month contract).

Uswitch sim only deals. Put that in Google and it takes you to a page of options. You have to sign up to 12 months but I've just checked and it is still available.
