I'm going to buy a refurbished laptop (for home use).
In the past I've bought from tier1online.com and had good service.
(My current laptop was bought as a refurb from them back in 2015 and is still working well, but I feel the urge for an upgrade).

I see another outfit called laptopsdirect.co.uk tend to have lower prices for similar items.
Has anyone used laptopsdirect.co.uk, and were they any good?

Sometimes not in stock, sometimes take the order then cancel, sometimes take the order and come back a week later offering an alternative.
Awful to deal with yet their sister company serversdirect.co.uk are reasonably good.
Techbazaar are pretty easy to deal with, even had a return once and they dealt with it straight away.
Check Currys and Argos ebay stores too, I got a really good gaming laptop from Curry's ebay at a price no one could get near, marked as open box but that was only the outer box, the actual laptop was still sealed.

Thanks for the comments. Looks like I should ignore laptopsdirect. Will check out techbazaar.

Just a quick update in case it's of interest to anyone.

I generally avoid buying anything of value on eBay, but saw just what I was looking for at a very attractive price. A T480 ThinkPad (i5-8350U, 16GB, 256GB NVMe) for £150. These typically go for £220+ from other sellers.

The seller is "xcomputers". Checked out their feedback and decided to risk it. Arrived very quickly and works a treat. In much better condition than I was expecting.
