The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
England Golf says that they are moving to the USGA course rating system. They are not saying that they are moving to the USGA handicapping system.
What's the benefit of this Rosie?

It is the rating of the courses that need attention, which is what the US system looks after so much better - agree, the handicap system is a kettle of worms whichever is used!
Assuming no change to existing handicap system, I imagine that your handicap will vary when you play at other courses according to the course's slope rating, e.g. Region3 might have been playing off 10 at Hollinwell today.
Sorry Gary, I meant 16 - couldn't resist.
You couldn't have given me too many today!!
If each course will be assessed for a slope rating, is there then a table or something telling you what to multiply your handicap by to get to the shots you receive on that course?
Have I understood that right?
